Disney and Pixar have in my opinion yet to fail the movie going public with a new hit movie every single summer season. Pixar has racked up many hits such as (Wall-E, Finding Nemo , & Toy Story). Up is the latest offering here and it does not disappoint this extraordinary run of movies.

Pixar have managed to capture the essence of what Walt Disney movies did for kids years ago when the studio was putting out hits like (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, Bambi, & The Little Mermaid ). Pixar manage to capture the imagination of a child while offering up a great movies that are fun for the family.

Up which is directed by Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.) takes to the helm here to deliver us an amazing entry in the Pixar lineup.

Up may justifiably be the best movie of 2009, now the is a little early to say this as there are still more entries to come along yet but hands down Up will be near impossible to beat when it comes to the best movie you will see for this year.

The Academy have raised the amount of movies that will receive nominations in 2009 for "Film Of The Year" to a total of ten. This may give Up the opportunity to become the first animated film to be nominated in the category since "Beauty and the Beast " which on its own is a very special honor. The only problem is I think that despite nomination in the category the Academy will be quick to overlook Up as they tend to do with movies that are animated.

Up feature an amazing story line, lovable characters, unforgettable laughs, and some of the most eye popping animation that I have ever witnessed. Needless to say I am going out on a limb here to state my pledge for Up not only to be nominated for "Film Of The Year" but to be worthy of taking home the prestigious award as well. Up is right up (pardon the pun) there with any of the Pixar lineup and will forever hold a place in the hearts of children and movie goers worldwide.

If for some reason you have been living under a rock and have yet to see this brilliant masterpiece of a movie then I highly recommend you drop everything right now and watch it.

My Rating:98%
